#HD Floppy Drives!!!
Help, Help!!
I finally found someone selling HD floppy drives for my A3000.
I installed the drive with no problems. It works great! . . . By itself.
My question is:
How do I get the old floppy to show up as DF1:?
Basic Info: I have an A3000, 10 MB RAM, 50MB int HD (more external),
Video Toaster, AMAXII+ card, and 2 floppy drives (one HD, one Lo-D).
Since I moved the old (lo-density) floppy drive over to the right hand bay
in the Amiga (and the last connector on the floppy cable), I was hoping
to get it set up as DF1: and use my new HD floppy as DF0:.
Either drive, hooked up by itself, will work just fine as DF0: (regardless
of which of the 2 connectors on the floppy cable are used).
When I hook up both drives, it acts as though they are both DF0: (ie: put
a floppy in one drive, and both drive lights will come on).
I even tried changing and/or removing the Drive Select jumpers on the
floppy drives (a set of jumpers labeled DS0-DS4) to see if that would
help. This only made matters worse!
All the while, my external floppy (DF2:) is working just fine. :^*
So, what do I do?
I know I should be able to get 2 internal floppies working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
