Well, I couldn't really tell you why I decided to write that last note. Macs aren't so bad, and until pretty recently, were a good way to go if you needed bitmapping in your work. That just isn't the case anymore, of course, so it's not worth heading that way. The newest Macs are *reasonable* in speed and, when the PowerPC versions come out, they may leave the Pentium machines in the dust, depending on how well Apple can tweak their OS to fit on the chip. I must have been Mac bashing because someone here had another system crash or something on their Quadra 950 which left me having to reinstall the OS and 90% of the software *again* or some other common Mac tragedy.
