I don't think a catastrphe other than the complete elimination for the need of personal property and money and power would do away with the gun problem in the States. The bottom line here is money, with no regard for life, or what's right and wrong. I will admit, however, that I keep a target pistol for shooting holes in paper, so I'm as guilty as the next guy of supporting Ruger Arms manufacturing. I know people in Europe with target pistols, too, though. And Australia is FULL of rednecks with rifles, so that's probably not going to be a shell free utopia, either. My rancher uncle in Australia still shoots his own dinner a couple of times a week.
