What a ironic statement from an Englishment about Americans and their guns. Seeing how it was the English aristocracy that caused the American peasants to take up arms and show the English the way home. You do remember the revolution? The Boston tea party? Paul Revere? and all that nasty independence stuff. I know it's a 200 year old phobia, but we just can't let go of the fear of not being able to defend ourselfs. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe it's necessary to own a gun, I don't even believe in hunting of anykind, but the American "gun mania" was first created by the so called "civilized europeans".
