Albert, thanks much for letting me know the status of this report. Looking forward to reading it. I don't know how many 'chill hours' are average here; seems quite variable to me. Speaking of P. bambusoides, the local arboretum here has what they call _Phyllostachys sulphurea_. Is it your understanding that this is a cultivar of P. bambusoides? The culms are as beautiful as Moso imho: very bright yellow. Alas, you were correct: the new culms on my B. oldhamii died. Just fell over and expired <sob>. Read action !
