Welp, that didn't work! Installed 3.1 rom this afternoon and software justa little while ago. 2 main problems. Lost the Quantum 105 on a non-booting 2091 to checksum errors, and, more important, lost the 12 megs of memory on the Zeus '040 board. The system is a 2000, PPI Zeus w/scsi controller (which has the boot disk and it works, obviously), 2091 w/ 2 megs mem (thank goodness that's there or I wouldn't have any memory). Microway Flickerfixer and Picasso II do thevideo chores. The 2091 doesn't boot on the '040. It's there to have something to boot towhen switching to the 68000. This is done via a floppy which transfers assignments to the Quantum. It has 7.0 rom but since it doesn't boot, it needs the driver in the Expansion drawer. 7.0 didn't come with one, so I had to use the 6.6. I suspect that to be the problem. I hope not. The memory problem is because the Init040 program that came with the Zeus now locks up no matter when you run it. The thing is, every thing worked normally when I had the 3.1 rom, but stillrunning 2.1 s/w. The colors were a bit different, and a problem with screens on WB and custom screens disappeared, but that's all. In Portal AmigaZone Chat one night, a fellow said his 2000/picasso/Zeus combo worked on 3.1. Sure wish I could remember who that was. One of the doctors, I think. Hope someone can help. -DonM -DonM – On Autopilot from 1Q1 – Chickenlips doesn't sell Amigas, we just buy them!
