I'm sure that if everybody replies like this, you can spend all four days just covering highlights, but my $0.02… I'm really keen to see the raytraced lights. I have had a terrible time trying to do accurate sun shadowing. ****HEY*** there's an idea. A light that you can just slam time and date info into, and have it plunk itself into proper sun location. Of course this would have to have a friendly way or three of specifying NORTH and all. Of course it would have to be animateable, that way, I could just put it at noon on Jan 21 and 11 frames later noon on Dec 21 and then get a frame a month of the shadows. (I have already had to something like this. They liked it. They eventually got around to paying ; ) Hrm. Sorry James. I just keep forgetting to post that and I know Yost Group is reading this thread..Any way, I was also very keen to hear about the region rendering. Upgrading from R1, it is going to be many many days, before I even look at most of the major coolnesses that I have coming. -gruhn
