I think it's a given that it won't be a stronghold in the home market, but the
"business" part depends on the type of business you're talking about. If you're
talking technology companies, manufacturing, and places that UNIX is now, I
think it'll be a while before UNIX is kicked out. The places that use PCs will
continue to use PCs.
There are consortiums that have already standardize UNIX for different hardware
platforms (88K, PowerPC), mainly so you can get a binary to run from whatever
machine you have.
You'll never see "one UNIX", at least I hope not. There will always be a need
for specialized UNIX systems, whether they are in real-time, security,
transaction processing, or whatever. I don't see NT taking over those anytime
soon.
