Thanks for the cvomeback Joe. I am probably stupid…. but the only way I get the IconX window is when I click Montage&Switcher icon. The window appears but only says IconX at the top. After a short while it writes [CLI 5] inside the window and STOPS! If I use the CLI approach, I again get the IconX window, but this time it adds the despairing comments "switcher: unknown command"… followed by "switcher failed returncode 10"… and STOPS! I got Montage in June/July. It installed and ran perfectly on our Amiga 2000, then running Toaster Ver:2.0 The problem started when we did an upgrade of the same computer by changing board to Toaster 4000 and Software Ver:3.0 Have been in FAX contact with the good folk at InnoVision and sent them all the details they requested. Presently waiting for their advice and counsel, which hopefully will correct things. Will take a look at the "Assigns" in user-startup. Will let you know what I find there. At the moment have a hunch that Montage is fine in the Amiga 2000 with Toaster 2.0 It also seems OK in the Amiga 4000 with Toaster 4000 and 3.0 software, as in your case. The problem seems to be with the Amiga 2000 – with Toaster 4000 and 3.0 software. If you have thoughts or brainwaves… let me know. Hilary.
