Not too far from Wisconsin actually, and the Sanyo was on my list of VTRs to
check out for purchase, however, I ended up with a SVO9600, due to more
circumstance than anything. I got cought in the middle of the SONY (none in
stock) syndrome as I was trying to buy during the last two weeks of September
and Sony as well as a few independents were claiming to be out of stock so they
could hold out for an extra 10% on Oct 1. Rat-ta-tat-ta-tat. I tried to close
the deal several times only to find out at the last miniute none was in stock.
Two of the dealers are here on the forum. I ended up closing the deal with a
non forum dealer. I think I may have made a mistake as It still took TWO almost
THREE weeks for my stuff to get here and all of it STILL isn't here,
EEEERrrrrrrrrr! Can you beleive it, they sent the bloody deck but not the
blasted RS-422. KABOOM! Well, it looks pretty, and I think it blackstrips
tape okay, but I'll be damned if I know if it works or not, I will be on the
phone Monday raising hell. Not real happy right now. I should have waited and
purchased from one of the forum dealers.
If things end up real screwed up and I have to send this beasty back I may talk
with you about a Sanyo, but I doubt the situation gets must worse, Unsless I
blow it up trying to install the RS-422………..
