I did try the Mapboard fix. It was a noticable improvement. Let me just shed
a bit more light on this subject. I just got a 4008 from GVP, it is really
just a HC8+ without drive, but with new ROMS and drivers. With the 2091
Patched, I was able to backup to a 4mm DAT drive about 3.5MB/min on the 2091
(tape drive hooked up to the 2091). With the 4008 that number went up to
10MB/min (tape drive hooked up ot the 4008. Next I'm going to try the MapBoard
fix on the 2091 and see what mapping the rom's into ram will do for
performance. What do you think??
