I hope that this issue can be placed behind us. Having reviewed both sets of mesh people I can definitely find some construction differences. The most notable geometry differences occure where more complexity is required such as in the hands, shoes and head. I have used or worked with people models from five different sources. Those models all have areas of geometry construction which are basically the same. The joints in all models tend to be in the same way only some use more verticies to provide more detail. QED As of now, people mesh models are available from aleast five sources for 3D Studio. As the group of 3D Studio users grows there will be more sources and more than likely illegal sources. As meshes models can not be protected they will eventually be copied. A modelers protection against such coping is be providing constant improvements. The bulk of the users will buy the meshes so they do not have to create them and those same people will buy an upgrade if it provides better models. I have alot of respect for rachel's work and feel her models will become a standard part of most architectural renderings. John's models have a different feeling and will appeal to a different group. Although, given the demand for render ready models, a large number of users/firms will more than likely buy both sets.
