As for that 1×36 $MB-72 pin SIMM, is it because it is dual sided that you say it won't work in the A4000? If so, that's not true. I purchases one at a computer show knowing I could take it back within 30 days. Well, I took it home SQUEEZED it in my A4000, and it worked; for about 2 months. Then I would get intermittent crashes because the SIMM would come lose. I could open up my 4000 and reseat it, but eventually it just became too much. So I did what you're doing, and I tried to sell it. I got I reply from Jim Drew (developer of the Emplant) saying all I have to do is strip the 4 chips off of the one side of the SIMM because they were only used by the PC's for parity and are not used by the Amiga. Needless to say I was very sceptical to rip chips off a $170 chip, but after I got no replys from anyone to buy it, I gave it a try, and sure enough… IT WORKED! -=Andrew=-
