When you replied to a message that "personally I don't care who wrote it" you made a very good point. It doesn't matter who wrote it as much as what was written and how after all this time the Bible still impacts our daily lives. The accuracy of its prophecy is unequalled and its clear principles for effective living are still unchallenged. As Mark Twain said, "it's not what I don't know about the Bible that bothers me, its what I do know." If all of us, especially those of us that call ourselves Christians, would read it from cover to cover and really understand it and live it, the world would be a much better place. By the way, some philosophers and "modern" theologians have used circular reasoning to deny the resurrection. They say, "a resurrection couldn't happen, therefore it didn't happen, therefore the Christian faith is not valid." This is not based on an intellectual study of the facts, but rather a dismissal of something they'd rather not look at too closely. It might reveal flaws in their way of thinking and living. Lawyer Frank Morrison in "Who Moved The Stone?" wrote one of the most thorough and revealing examinations of the facts surrounding the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Anyone dismissing Christianity without a thorough intellectual examination of the facts and a thorough reading of the Bible has simply not given it a fair shake. jf – lamplight productions ~~~sailing on autopilot~~~
