I'll answer the second question first: I didn't go for an '030
because I don't want to pour any more money into this system than I
need to (saving up for a 1200 with '030/040 if possible), and the
Supra seemed to offer the best performance for the dollar. I'm
currently running an A500 with the solder trace cut for 1 meg of
CHIP, using an ICD AdRam board (have never had any problem with their
stuff, highly recommended) with 4 Megs (4.5 total, 3.5 Fast). The
A570 CD add-on is another "must buy" for the system, I'm going to be
using Parnet to allow my 1200 to use it until I can afford an NEC
SCSI-2 external. I have found that if Idon't activate the upper 2
megs of ram, I can boot up with the caching circuitry enabled (it
makes for a _major_ difference in performance), otherwise it hangs up
during the memory assigning process. All things considered, it has
been a very good (and final) addition to the system, and will tide me
over for these next few months until my second "integrated keyboard"
graces the table.
