Thanks, Charles! I got it working. One of my bottom line complaints is that if Commodore has a list of "recommended" and "not recommended" drives, they ought to publish it so people can be aware of potential problems BEFORE they lay their money on the counter for hard drives, which are often not returnable to the vendor. I find it difficult to believe that any current model IDE drive won't just slap into any current model machine – but the Amiga, according to its worshippers is "superior", so I must just be unappreciative of this sophisticated nuance. <G>
