Maybe they don't like their customers? <G> Please bear in mind that I am not saying one platform or operating system is better than another. There are days when I curse all of them equally. It's just that the Amiga seems to have more quirks than others – its incompatibility with 99.999% of all IDE drives being a rather significant one. (I say 99.999% because I was told that only 4 drives are "recommended" by Commodore. That leaves out a kind of huge number.) Coupled with Commodore's almost complete lack of technical support leaves me with a pretty poor impression of the Amiga. My comparison to PC's was limited specifcally to installing IDE drives. It's a pretty basic operation that doesn't cause problems under most circumstances. Installing other components, of course, can be a major hassle.
