Jerry, OK I took the plung and opened my closet door and dug out my 29091 manual. On page 71 there are instructions for setting a Jumper (5) that will allow longer Time-out Length. If your using a SCSI device that takes longer then thirty seconds to start up when you tern the system on…such as some Seagate drives then you need to set this jumper. Now I'm not sure if there is such a jumper on a 3000 or 4000. (Maybe somebody can jump in here with info). Not sure if any of this will help you unless you decide to go SCSI. take care….
