Hi, my name is not George, well, not really, George is my first name David is my middle name, and I have always gone by Dave… Recently I started a class at Columbia College in Chicago. Its called graphics and applications I, for the Amiga. This has been my first access to the Amiga. I have been working with graphics and animation for about a year on the pc. Im used to windows, and am familiar with the Mac, so that gives an intuitive feel for the Amiga, which seems to be a quality combination of the two! My interests lie in multimedia, although I am a ways from realizing this goal…I still have no sound card or CD rom! A few weeks ago my SVGA monitor bit the dust, and Im now barely surviving on an amber monochorme loaned by a friend. I digress, I belive, My problem or question is this. I use Corel Photopaint at home on my PC, and I can save a file in a variety of formats. I use Digital Paint 4 in class. What I want to know is a way to converet a GIF, or TGA, or BMP, or PCX into an Amiga format, and vice versa. If any person who reads this message has any ideas for me on how to convert these images PLEASE leave me a message. Also, our final project in this class is a 300 frame animation, Ive been doing some simple animations in dos format,(.fli or flc extension) , is there any way to convert these to run on the Amiga? I would like my instructor to view these works, if possible. I would like to see any animations in the amiga format that are availiable to download on compuserve!!!! Well, Ive been fairly long winded, so I draw to a close, If any one out there who reads this can answer my questions, or has any other feedback, pleas write to me ASAP… Thanks, Hope to talk to you soon…. Dave.
