FLC driver
Problem is Chris, Toolsbook is awful. Most people when they really dig
into it find out that the palette handling is really pathetic. The
only decent animation package for Windows is Animation Works
Interactive from Gold Disk. They import FLI and FLC files, and play
FLC files directly through their MCI interface. The biggest problem
is that the ADESK DLL for FLC files automaticallt remaps the palette
and you have NO CONTROL over it. I am patiently waiting for a new
version that will fix things… If you import a FLC file one frame at
a time into AWI, you can tell it to keep the original palette but
just overwrite the 20 default colors. As long as you have carefully
mapped your FLC to not use the top 10 and bottom 10 colors in the
palette, it remains intact.
