I think that they have different shipping centers. The NJ center apparently had them in stock while the center nearest you has them on backorder? I have a ZyXEL I use for Fax, CIS, etc. I bought the new modem to hang off my Unix box. So I haven't tried it with fax or CIS. With one local BBS, it connected fine at 19.2. It only likes to connect to my ZyXEL at 19.2 every fourth or fifth try when the ZyXEL originates and the Line144e answers. I hear the Supra modems sometimes have problems connecting at high speeds — does any one have any suggestions for improving connectability? As far as overall quality of the modem, it's what I'd expect for $99. It's not awful. If it weren't for the problem with connecting, it'd be everything I could want in an inexpensive modem. If the connect problem is only with AA, or if something that helps with the Supra helps this one, I'd say it's an excellent deal. I'll keep you up-to-date if I get any good information out of technical support…
