I'm a little confused about all this AmigaDOS 3.x for non-AGA machines talking. It makes absolutely no sense, you can use 3.0 with all Amigas you want to, and if you look at it closely, you MUST be able, because even in an AGA machine, the OS has to be able to operate with an ECS-Set, because you can switch it back (if I remember correctly, you have to turn ON AGA before it works). So talking about a OS 3.x for the old machines is senseless, because you can use the full OS for them. Over here in Germany there is a pure ROM upgrade Kit available, with an OS 3.0 ROM and an adapter to fit it into any A2000 or A500. (They don't seem to sell the discs and manuals, so I'm wondering if they want their customers to copy them ??????????, well just joking.) What is discussable is if they will bring the 3.1 OS to everyone (which someone said they won't) and why the hag they are waiting at least a year before they release an existing OS as an upgrade (The 2.1 upgrade is available at last around here, but I see no reason to buy it, when there will be a 3.1 out soon).
