#Imagine 3
Mike,
PMFJI – I read Jeff's thoughts on Imagine and have to agree. I bought
Imagine 1.0 a few years ago and upgraded to 2.0 when it came out. I
struggled to learn it with the help of The Imagine Companion and
Understanding Imagine 2.0 – I need not tell you why I had to buy these
books to learn the program. IMHO, the program is simply too difficult to
use – and the lack of docs made things impossible.
I bought a VT4000 about a month ago and have had the same experience with
Jeff. I was create renderings almost right away without cracking the
manual. The program, again IMHO, is extraordinarily straightforward.
For me to spend almost $3000.00 (Canadian) on a VT4000 as opposed to $100
(American) for the Imagine upgrade tells you what my impression is of the
usefulness of the Lightwave as compared to Imagine.
For the reasons I've just stated, plus a few others, I've decided to go
with Lightwave. I hope you take this in the spirit in which it is
intended, a customer of yours outlining why he has gone with a
comptetitor's product trying to tell you why.
