sounds pretty good to me. However, for $2k which is the special offer price,
you are in the approximate range of a nice JPEG card and dedicated hardrive
(DPS Personal Animation Recorder). If I had that kind of money to spend, which
I don't, I'd choose the latter. Then when I had another spare $2k or so, I'd
buy an Exabyte 8505 and use that for backup and layoff to Abekas. It's all
theory, though, since most of my work is flics currently.
