PMJI but those are great questions.
I agree with you completely about Imagine being the best value for the
money. I have both 3D Studio R2 and Imagine 2.0 and spend time on
both products. For some reason Imagine seems more fun to work with.
It's also a little more frustrating though.
In answer to your question #3) … I have no problem making both flis
and flcs that work from Imagine. I play them with AA.exe, Animator
Pro, and Play80.
Also, something that other people have asked about, I have also
managed to DXF-in objects and fonts. But they don't have faces. The
font capabilities of Imagine 3.0 sound like just what I need.
I think the Impulse guys do a great job. They support this forum well
and also have a technical support line. (3D-Studio doesn't have a
technical support line!) I'll quite happily part with $100 for the
upgrade to 3.0.
