Suresh and Mike Kelley, I don't think anyone is saying the Sanyo is useless. I think they are saying that, for the price nothing can touch it, _BUT_ if you have more money then a higher grade deck would be more durable. For the price the Sanyo stands on it's own, NO DOUBT. I don't even have the money for that, I'm so broke right now. However, my choice for that kind of money is the DPS Personal Animation Recorder and a consumer SVHS deck (which I already own). This is because I've had nothing but headaches from frame-by-frame output, mostly due to dropouts, missed frames, and various inexplicable glitches. Realtime (hopefully) is going to save me from just in time, from a life of stress and premature hair-loss <g>.
