He is looking for a localbus vga/pal board of for real time playing and a sony evo or a (in)famous Sanyo for accurate truecolor work when he need it, and I pointed him to this forum, specially thinking on you and your DPS PAR fan club president condition 🙂 I think that every freeelance and small company in the world will go soon with realtime truecolor recording and the Exabyte unit for the Abekas. In fact, we have been looking with interest your comments about the DPS board, and also about the Matrox solution. In the other side, I think that it could be better to hold for while and wait for different/similar approachs from different companies. Specially, want to know exactly what DVR could offer.
