#MSDOS Questions
I shopping a color laptop for my step-father so that we can use it on his
boat with some chart/navigation software that is only available for MS-DOS
machines. I have a couple of questions:
1. When comparing IBM PC's & Compatables, what is the difference between
an SX or DX a-la 486SX or 486DX?
2. When using a laptop with an external monitor hooked up, can both the
built in screen and external monitor be used at the same time?
3. Does OS/2 need a specific machine to run on, and basically what is the
difference between OS/2 & Windows and which is preferable
Having spent most of my computer life on an amiga, I'm not up on some of
this MSDOS stuff <G>.
