If you want to upgrade your A2000 to AmigaDOS 2.1, you will have to do
the following: Replace the ROMs on your A2620 Board, Replace your
A2090 to an A2091 or any High-Quality SCSI Controller Card… The GVP
4008+ springs to mind, replace the old 1.3 ROM with the 2.05 or
higher ROM. Total cost can be as high as $300-$500. In addition,
you may want to investigate about upgrading some of the custom chips
to ECS status. More than likely you have a Fatter Agnus (1 MB Chip
RAM), but you probably have the Normal Denise. Upgrading to the Super
Denise chip will allow you to work with higher resolutions
(productivity mode) and the ability to control Color 0 when used with
a genlock.
In regards to our software, Scala MultiMedia MM300 will require all of
these upgrades. Hope I was able to answer most of your questions.
Anybody have the exact Commodore part numbers and version numbers?
