Premier Publication in Digital Video Market
Doubles Frequency
Peterborough, NH (November 1, 1993) – Desktop Video World — the
bellwether among magazines covering desktop solutions for video
production — today announced that the publication will move to
monthly frequency, effective with the February 1994 Issue.
"Our readers demanded the frequency change," asserted Dale Strang,
Publisher of Desktop Video World. "They have asked for a monthly
publication with each of the six issues that we have published to
date. With the accelerating pace of developments in desktop video
technology, readers of Desktop Video World have repeatedly told us of
their need for more information, more often."
"Our advertising clients will also benefit from this fre- quency
change," added Strang. "Now the leading developers of desktop video
products can reach a high-quality buying audience on a monthly basis
— an audience eager to implement the latest digital technologies."
"Our readers respond to what differentiates Desktop Video World from
other magazines," said Lou Wallace, Editor-In- Chief. "Our readers
like the fact that Desktop Video World is the only magazine to
include a product rating system and reviews geared to the needs of
production professionals. Now, every month, we'll be able to deliver
what our readers need to do their jobs."
Focused on the hardware and software tools required to create videos,
animations and presentations, Desktop Video World is the resource for
creative professionals involved in video and multimedia production.
The mandate of Desktop Video World — unique among other publications
— is to provide information on the latest technological
breakthroughs; peer-written evaluations of products; and hands-on
instruction for using digital tools.
Desktop Video World is published by TechMedia Publishing, Inc., an
