I'll try the startup-sequence echo idea… thanks.
My system USED to (under WB2.04) come up with "Loading System 2.x"
message, but now that I have installed 3.1, it is just a black screen
until the CLI window opens with a copyright message like "Commodore Amiga
Operating System and Libraries C1991-1993 CBM", etc. I have six disks in
the 3.1 set.
