DJ: I just tried your suggestion about echo statements in the SS. I got NOTHING before the System failure! I then had the system "kick out" of the startup-sequence by putting in an invalid echo line at the beginning. I then ra"SetPatch", and the system turned to an oozing goo, pausing only to blank the screen. No output at all from SetPatch. This is very confusing. I ran AIBB to check the performance of the system, and it came though with flying colors WITHOUT setpatch. In fact, in some areas (writepixel for instance) it is TWICE the speed of 2.04! And this is with the FASTROM option off. I will talk with Expert Services next and see what they have to say. Thanks for your help! — Dave
