James,
The problem you'r having seems a bit familiar, but it was fixed in 1.04.
First, make sure that you don't have 1.03j from the about screen.
Did you make sure and delete (or rename) your old config files in the S:
directory? You have to do this every time you reinstall a new version. There
are four of them, and are something like pe.7750.config, all ending in the
.config extension. The config files may have held old data that isn't correct
for the newer revision.
Also run the test to check timing. I invariably have to use 8 rather than the
default 6 for the EP Delay value.
Also, I see you're grabbing from the 7750. The new version allows you to grab
from the source. Is this your source deck? I use a 7650 as the source, and
have absolutely fabulous grabs with this version. If you're using your editor
to grab, it may be a timing thing. If you have it timed to the system as an
editor, you need to be feeding it 400ns delayed external sync to match the
delay through the Toaster, or just use normal sync which ties it to the deck
input from the Toaster.
The problem is it'll be timed to the Toaster output, and what it sends back to
the Toaster will be delayed 400ns. You can feed it the same external sync as
your Toaster gets to input 1, and disconnect it's input. That should make the
timing work as an input. Does this make sense?
If none of this helps, get all of the info from the pull-down menu on the Edit
screen, and call Terry back. Let me know how it works out.
Regards,
Nate.
