This was a long time ago but I called the company that supports Gigamem in this
country to ask about problems I was having with the product. (wish I could
think of the company name – Innovatronics ?? ). Anyway, Imagemaster and DPaint
ask for and use additional memory in a different manner than Imagine. However
Imagine does it is similar to AdPro. The * only * solution for me was to run
those programs with a portion of your drive as a Partition not a Swap file. I
could never get Imagine to run without setting it to 'Virtual Memory Only'. I
gather you'd prefer not to have to mess with your drive and set up a partition
but that is all I can suggest that you do at this point. If you have any other
programs – even ones not on the 'Gigamem' list – try those too. I got Vertex to
work which is a model-generating program. I was able to create some very big
hoggy models that way. Of course, even with Gigamem running, I couldn't stand
waiting for them to render <g>.
