Hi Jim, I'm replying to a string we had going about a month ago. For a reminder, here's what we were discussing: My message >>Thanks Jim for the tip. I've converted my test animation with AnimWorkshop and will try loading them into Brilliance and compare the playback speed. I'm now getting about 25 fps playback using Op7, 32 color in "Max" overscan. I'd still like to be able to do better. Since the only part of my animations that will make use of many colors is the background, perhaps I should get an RGB/NTSC converter for my old stock A2000 and run them through a Genlock to combine it with a simpler forground animation. Maybe I can pick up some speed that way. Your Reply >> I have used that method using my 2000. I am lucky to have 2 SuperGens. I have also used the PAR card in my 4000 to do overlays. Let me know how you make out.<< Well, I've just purchased a Progressive Peripherals genlock from someone in the Amiga User forum, and should be getting it in a couple of weeks. I'll start experimenting then, though I can already see where there will be a learning curve with respect to timing and matching forground to background character placement when I draw my animations. Don't be suprised if come calling for some practical hints or tips. Stay tuned <g>. Bruce I just saw that this string has grown to 140 messages! Boy, turn your back for a second and look what happens <g>.
