#INDY RENDERING
The LightWave render engine in the Screamernet was a separate product before;
I've never heard any talk of folding in the network rendering abilities into
the LightWave for the PC, although it's possible. It rests on TCP/IP, which is
present in WinNT and Chicago but not yet commonly found in straight Windows,
although Microsoft does have a TCP/IP add-on, I'm not sure if it's freely
distributable, licensable, or a commercial product. For no other reason, they
may need to offer networking rendering in order to compete against 3DS and
other network-ready rendering programs.
