#Cel clean up problem
Brandon
– didn't want you to think I had forgotten your problem – at least the one you
sent message about. I've been doing some poking about in some books, and
confering with Ed Kellerman about some ideas..
but let me see if I'm sure understand the problem…
you have multi-frame >more than (2 or 3 frames) flics
this is a complex image – not single color
you have multi-frame animated cel (s)
this is complex image – not a single color – the edges are not single
unique (not used elseware in toon) color
[like ants – as in the insect? – with moving parts? cool!]
both are "perfect" pictures – seperately –
you use optics or cel animation to combine cel with flic
[like the ants march across picnic table? ]
[do you use both optic & cel animation? or other… ]
the edges where cel meets flic then need some touch up – unzag, unbuzz,
smooth, or what ever.
if you apply ink to the whole frame you mess up other parts of image
you have lots of frames to clean up
you may make many passes at a flic
[- like putting a whole herd of ants in]
Idealy you'd like something that didn't require messing around
Could you alter the process if necessary ?
Would it be possible to send me sample of cel, flic, (before and after) —
note: I don't need whole thing . Also some more words on specificly what you
think you want and need.
I can't promise any thing yet — but will keep looking at it in spare time
