It seems to me that the AAA issue really rests on how close it is to
completion. Obviously if it is in beta stage then it would be a
worthwhile R&D expenditure. As far as RISC is concerned, I agree with the
Commodore UK group. It should be a top priority. Right now the future of
Amiga CPU development is far too dependant upon the whims of Motorola. "We
may release the 060 this year, and we may not. We might continue to
develop this line of technology, or we might not." RISC is obviously the
way to go. Yes, there will most likely be major software compatability
problems, but if the Amiga is to be reborn, then what better place to make
the transition.
