25 frames per pass? actually I believe this would be directly
dependent on the length of the animation. If you had 50 frames to
record in a particular animation it would seem unlikely that QP could
lay all 50 frames in two passes which would require extremely fast
file transfer rates. However on a much longer animation the time it
takes between frames to be recorded would be enough to load the frame
buffer. The 10 frames per pass was a figure that was based on an
animation of 30 seconds long and allowing for a file to frame buffer
load time of 9 seconds per frame which was a figure that was given to
me as a safe realistic figure. With todays faster hard drives I'm
sure 9 seconds is too slow. If our file size is approx. 1 megabyte
and we have a file transfer rate of 2 meg per second, (reasonably
fast) The best you could achieve would be recording a frame every
half second. QP, as I recall, records for the total length of the
animation and the frame count should increase as the animation
increases in length.
