You didn't pay $300 for lens flare — you paid $50 (there are 6 routines on Disk#1). Would you rather Gary said "Okay, the next release of 3DS will be pushed back 6-12 months while we add nifty features to all our old IPAS's…."? Gary did say in another message that unless someone else came out with a better lens flare, that they would have to beef up theirs — but I wouldn't expect this until after r5. I do agree that maybe the thing to do is to contract with to someone to upgrade the routines — that way they'd a) have time and b) have access to info from the Yosts. Maybe some of the guys who Adesk got to do the r4 plug-ins. Still, for my money, I'd rather have Gary/Jack/Darrel/Jeff/Rolf/Tom/Dan working on the core 3DS code. Dave
