My question relates to using ONE non-TBCed source with the Toaster and the Flyer. No other inputs; no switching except maybe with the framestore pages. I have done this with my Toaster before, with a live, computer- generated (game console) video signal; I wanted to see if that would eliminate the fps reduction that the TBC causes. (Can't remember whether or not it did, though. Probably didn't.) I was asking why the Flyer should need a TBC for its single input when the Toaster doesn't (when you use only one input). It doesn't really matter much in my case — I have two TBC IV's and some 10-year-old TBC boxes available — but I'm still a little curious. – Jim, on AutoPilot!
