You've put your finger on it – the loader is PD, and the owners of the PhotoCD technology have not (yet, I guess) bothered to go after the authors, who one could probably safely assume have nothing in particular to go after. OTOH, if _we_ did it, we'd be staring down a lawyers cravat quite fast, at least that's my guess. If someone produced a PhotoCD loader for IM R/t, I wouldn't mention it here, as I'm not in the business of promoting that type of activity. If PhotoCD became available through some reasonable path (read that as affordable to us), we'd support it, probably no surprise to anyone.
