#DTP Disappointments
Hi.
I received your brochure for the DTS the other day, and after reading it over
and over, I couldn't help but think that your product might be too good to be
true. Anyway, I ordered it and just installed it…..First of all, I
encountered a few GPF's, couldn't get the import function to work smoothly, and
was distracted by some strange error messages w/ misspellings and grammar
errors….But the major things I found to be disappointing, is that 1) your
brochure mentioned that you can record your own sound files to be used as
reminders….I searched all the programs and manuals, and I have yet to find
anywhere that you can attach such a file…. 2) Shouldn't there be a way to
change the fields in the address book GLOBALLY rather than just on a
record-by-record basis??? For example, I have no use for the Car Phone field,
but I could really use that for something else. But everytime I enter a new
record, I have to go and change the title for it in the dialer options….kind
of a pain….
I hope the 4.1b upgrade will address (no pun intended) some of these issues, as
I think that the DTS could be a great product with a little polishing.
One last thing: Is it my imagination or does the DTS eat up Windows Resources
like crazy??!? I had problems running other apps (Excel for example) will the
DTS was open, and even after I shut it down.
