R5 Wishlist items I'm just lettin' my imagination go …:) Some of these pertain to 3ds itself and some to various ipas routines I would really like to have : (in no particular order) -ability to animate camera ranges, light ranges, light attenuations, atmosphere / fog conditions. -every aspect of materials to be keyframeable individually over time (no need for morphing to another obj w/different materials) -arrays of objects in the 2d shaper -incorporate a keystroke that works the way the spacebar does for selected objects, but for editing objects by colors. -flat / goroud shading preview in an editor window. -ability to draw 3d bspline curves in the editor — then put them in the lofter or the keyframer for modeling or an anim path — when the curve is in the keyframer, I want to not only use it as an motion path, but I want the object to deform or flow over the path too. -ability to deform bspline objects with ik skeletons -make a light visible as a point of light in space, assign a lens flare to a light. -Project visible fog through omni/spotlights — then add noise to the fog and animate it -ability to make an object into a lightsource (i.e. a long cylinder into a flourscent light bulb) -give the light an animatable "force" or wind to dynamically affect other objects -obj collisions on complex isosurfaces -ability to affect elements in the keyframer -assign a glow by object or by shader -in displace, I want to be able to animate the position of my mapping coordinates -in skin, I want to have it create an actual mesh that I use as an object. -a global lighting tool that affects the characteristics of ALL the lights in a scene. -in the mat editor, a general gradient tool -in render/setup/background enhance the gradient tool to handle more than three colors. -in the mat editor, like 2 texturemaps, I would like 2 bump maps, 2 opacity maps, 2 etc … -ability to import sound files for lip-synching purposes thanks! -Kyle
