Hard Drive lock up
Ever since I bought a Quantum 540 Lightning hard drive I have had trouble with
it locking up and the hard disk light staying on (A2091 card). I think I have
found a solution. I set reselection to "off" via HDToolbox. Of course as soon
as I did this and rebooted I effectively lost the partitions on the drive. I
then booted with the 3.1 Install disk and using advanced options, reset my
partitions. Everything seems to be OK now
If anyone else has the same problem, this may be worth a try.
