I bought my GVP HC series 1 card with no memory and no hard drive for $300
in1989. I paid 200 DM (about $130) for 2MB memory for the thing, and let
3 years pass before I got a hard drive for it. I got a Quantum 52MB just
forpulling it out of a dead machine. I now have tons of hard drives for
just pulling out of dead machines (Being a technician has its advantages
🙂 I also built me a laser printer out of spare (junk) parts and fixed
an externalSyquest 44MB removeable HD with a little super glue; it is now
connected tomy A1200. My present projects are an IBM 8513 monitor with a
bad flyback anda Baytech Printmaster 710E with a blown IC. Most of my
computer systems consists of things I got from customers who were going to
throw it away, and I just bring them home and fix them.
