Rich, it seems to me you are not being fair. You are comparing ancient Amigas (pre-286 in clone terms) to the latest clones and Macs. Why don't you compare a 4000 with OS 3.1 and maybe a Picasso graphics board? Whole different ball game <g>. I'll stake this 25MHz '040 system against a 66MHz 486DX2 in most things. I know. I have both on my desk at work. I also use OS/2, which I definitely like more than Windows, but is no comparison to Workbench 3.1 as a desktop. I would chose it as a server platform, though. As soon as the 060 is out, the Pentium comes down. The RISC machines are another story, but still a very specialized market. Anyway, best of luck in your endeavors!
