Blaq, There is no question that SVHS will outperform VHS in almost every regard
(even when the inpit is composite). The Sony SLV-R5U is no longer available. It
was replaced with the SL-1000. Most agree that this was a mistake.
I happen to have two JVC SVHS decks for sale. A used one for $400. An a new one
for $600. They are both Model HRS-660. Excellent editing machine. E-mail me if
