Good point. After the major enhancements of r3 after r2, I think we're all
expecting a lot from Adesk. This really shouldn't be r4 — maybe r3.5?
The real sore spot here is that spline-based modeling was advertised for so
long as such a major feature, and now it's being denied to us. Personally, I'm
still neutral. One thing I *really* respect about Adesk is the reliability of
their software. As I mentioned in another thread previously, I've never owned
a piece of Adesk software with buggy features. When I went to my dealer to
upgrade to r4 (still waiting, of course), I didn't feel I needed to wait and
here from early users for a bug report. I can trust Autodesk's software, and
understand their reasoning behind pulling the patch modeler. I doubt it was
all THAT buggy, after all.
Still, this doesn't prevent me from being angry!
