Also, we've run into a similar problem once that was caused by buggy display drivers. Updating to the latest Vibrant drivers solved the problem. Have you tried playing the FLC's with a stand alone FLC player? Can you copy them from the CD-ROM to your hard drive? Usually small scratches aren't a problem.
